Bob Carlos Clarke was born in Ireland
in 1950. He originally trained as a journalist and graphic designer
but developed an interest in photography at The West Sussex College
of Art in 1969. He continued his studies at The London College of
Printing and later at The Royal College of Art.
Bob Carlos Clarke has had four books
published to date: The Illustrated Delta of Venus (1979), Obsession
(1981), The Dark Summer (1985) and White Heat (1990).
Bob Carlos Clarke's photographs are
exhibited and collected world-wide. He is well known for his portraits
of the rich and famous as well as many leading advertising campaigns
including Smirnoff, Levis, Pirelli, Vladivar, Volkswagen, Fiat,
Panasonic, Agfa, Canon, Gordons and Wallis.
