British born Linford is one the world's top athletes, and Europe's greatest ever 100 metre sprinter, becoming an Olympic champion after winning the gold medal in Barcelona in 1992. In an international career spanning 16 years, Linford has competed over 60 times for his country and won more major championship medals (23) than any other British male athlete. Now in semi-retirement, Linford is currently coaching six international athletes, and is a familiar face on TV as a celebrity and technical commentator in athletics.
