March - A complex image made up of three separate components: the girl, the ice and the fire. The rose was frozen in the block of ice which was sculpted by blowtorch to the right shape. The blowtorch flame was then photographed separately. Surprisingly, the most difficult part of the shoot was getting the girl's hair to stay in position. After repeated attempts to defy gravity, a more lateral approach was taken and the model was asked to lie on her stomach so that gravity itself would keep the hair in shape. Computer retouching did the rest.
